Donham & Sweeney worked with the faculty, staff, and students of this K-6 independent school to complete renovation and expansion of its facilities located on Beacon Hill in Boston. The design effort involved making cohesive space from two adjacent 19th century 4-story townhouses. The program called for new classroom space; library, science, art, and music facilities; areas for after school activities, as well as accessibility improvements. Additionally, re-opening a pre-existing staircase created a generous new means of vertical circulation that knits the school together.
