Two fire stations will be renovated and restored with this project. The Highlands Station will be totally renovated on the inside, restored on the outside and a small addition built on the rear. The Central Station, the landmark octagonal building in the center of Arlington, will be restored on the exterior to keep it from further deteriorating while funds are awaited to renovate the interior. Construction will be complete in 2011.
